The media folder containing the movies, videos, photos etc, which the PMS connected to in rebuilding its libraries, is on a separate volume of the same NAS as it was with DSM6. The newly created PlexMediaServer contains AppData folder and everything from ‘cache to plug-ins’ so then deleted the old (empty) Plex shared folder. Lost our libraries, recreated them from the Media folder and corrected all the PMS permissions in the Shared folders using System Internal User R/W or custom. So, then uninstalled Plex and downloaded from Plex site DSM7 version 1.-7000. ![]() Might have also had unclaimed server message at one point in the panic. Problem…and trustingly used ‘Repair’ option and…worse still…downloaded from the Package Centre. Upgraded to DSM7.0-41890 last weekend and encountered all the issues seen on the forum. ![]() All Plex content accessible on local wifi network (Telstra Netgear v7610 modem), IOS devices (iphones / ipads) and remote access. We’ve been running Synology DSM6 and Plex for a few months without issue. Newbies here both to Plex and Synology DSM7
